$50 a night actually seems pretty reasonable...

It would be a fantastic hotel rate. XD Not so much for camping. But then again, I live in Canada and you can literally find a place to camp every 20 kilometres. When I went to a really fancy tourist destination once, the cheapest place to camp was $50 a night and it was a total rip off!

Lol, yeah. I live in Las Vegas so I think it's normal to see hotel rooms and stuff go for like... $90 a night and up (once I snagged my mom a hotel room for $42 a night!!) so seeing a 'per night' charge at $50 is awesome to me.

And I used to live in norther California up in the woods so of course $50 a night is a lot to spend just to sleep on the dirt under a tree XD

Las Vegas must be a cool place to live! Yeah, I'd imagine the rates there would be pretty high generally. It helps to have a lot of competition to drive them down, though. XD

This comic is actually based on when I went to Tofino, which is a huge tourist hotspot. The lowest rate for a camp site was $50 [which also happened to be the same amount they fined us for just camping on the side of the ride, lol.] And the site was literally a car-sized patch of dirt with a few thin trees blocking off the next sites. XD We weren't impressed. There's places 15 mins from where I like that is $12.50 a night and have shower/washroom facilities!

That's the advantage of not living in a city. If I want to go camping, I can just drive fifteen minutes out of town and then hike a couple of hours.

Camping in the living room is still my favourite!
